Hackathons
Intensive build sprints where research meets rapid prototyping.
A space where I step out of the lab to build fast, ship something real in 24-36 hours, and learn from teams across engineering, design, and entrepreneurship.
Hack the World(s): World Models
Hack the World(s): World Models Hackathon
2nd placeA 24-hour hackathon dedicated to world models, the next frontier of AI, held with the support of Yann Le Cun. One hundred students in twenty-five teams, drawn from France's top engineering schools and universities, built systems around the JEPA (Joint-Embedding Predictive Architecture) paradigm, with high-performance GPU compute and researchers on hand through the night. The opening conference, featuring Philippe Baptiste and Yann Le Cun, was held at PSL's Paris School of AI.
With team Piaget, I built Wiring the Fly Brain into a World Model, a JEPA world model trained on a complete fly-brain connectome (FlyWire, ~140k neurons) embodied in a simulated fly, built region by region on the EB-JEPA framework. We placed 2nd, and the project was reposted and congratulated by Yann LeCun. With Lucas Thil, Daniel Nowak-Assis, and Adam Jlidi.
June 19-20, 2026 · ESIEE Paris, Noisy-le-Grand (opening at PSL, Paris) · Organized by ESIEE Paris, Mines Nancy/ACADI & PR[AI]RIE, with AI Factory France · All participants received VivaTech invitations
Paris Fintech Hackathon: Solve with AI
Paris Fintech Hackathon: Solve with AI
France's premier student hackathon dedicated to Generative AI and Fintech: 150 hackers, 24 non-stop hours at HEC Paris. Teams built concrete solutions for the financial sector with access to sponsor AI tooling, mentored by engineers and entrepreneurs, and pitched to a jury of VCs and unicorn founders.
With my team, I built WEBI, an AI copilot that turns fragmented bank deal flow into a mandate-matched, negotiation-ready pipeline for structured bond products, powered by Gemini 2.0 Flash and a FAISS vector index. We pitched it to a jury of VCs and founders. No prize this round. With Emile Jouannet, Mathilde Anita Thierry, Elie de Baudus, and Roland Sosin.
April 25-26, 2026 · HEC Paris, Jouy-en-Josas · Hosted by SP AI (Sciences Po), ASES France (HEC & Stanford) & Google Developer Groups · Partners: Google, Cerebras, Mistral AI, Lovable, Station F, Hg Capital
Mistral Worldwide Hackathon: Paris Edition
Mistral Worldwide Hackathon: Paris Edition
Mistral AI's largest hackathon, 1,000+ participants across 7 cities worldwide, 36 hours of building with cutting-edge AI. With Saad Souilmi and Hamza Zerouali, we built Cerno: an AI-powered recruitment platform where candidates interview with a voice-AI agent, and recruiters receive structured, bias-reducing evaluations, with no resume screening and no ghosting.
February 28 - March 1, 2026 · Paris, France · Organized by Mistral AI and Iterate · Partners: NVIDIA, AWS, Weights and Biases
